Due to climatic conditions 1994 was a prominent year for Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) diseases occurrence in Uruguay. Given this unique opportunity, numerous CIMMYT advanced breeding wheat lines were evaluated for FHB field infection and selected for varying degrees of resistance.
