| Resumen: | Expert consultation dealing primarily with water pollution by agriculture in the Latin American Region, organised by the FAO. The objectives of the meeting were (i) to conduct an assessment of the extent of water pollution by agriculture and related activities in Latin America; (ii) to provide an understanding of the mechanisms of water pollution by agriculture and related activities; (iii) to develop and action statement dealing with the assessment, legislation and prevention of water polution in Latin America. The meetingwas held at the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile, from 20 to 23 October 1992. |
